Maureen Palmer
MAUREEN PALMER is so passionate about storytelling that ideas keep her awake at night. After two award-winning decades at the CBC, where she held senior producer positions in both radio and television, Palmer left in 2000 to series produce for American broadcasters TLC and the Discovery Channel. As an independent, she has a wealth of writing, directing and producing credits to her name – from the pilot for The Food Network’s Glutton for Punishment to The Week the Women Went for CBC. Since forming Bountiful Films in 2002, Palmer and partner Helen Slinger have produced a string of powerful and critically acclaimed hit documentaries from Leaving Bountiful, which pulled a million viewers in 2002, to How To Divorce & Not Wreck the Kids in 2009, and Mounties Under Fire in 2010.
